The phrase ‘swim to the other shore’ is inspired by Buddha’ teachings in the Dhammapda. It is about our unique calling to the spiritual ‘shore’ and the journey we make, within our minds, to a new awareness.

The phrase ‘swim to the other shore’ is open to interpretation – to some it means quite literally swimming out to a different shore to others it is a metaphor on being independent and following your own heart. However as with all things Earthmonk there is always a spiritual meaning layered within the artwork. The phrase is inspired by the Dhammapda, a collection of sayings of the Buddha that is in verse form and is one of the best known Buddhist scriptures. We interpret this about the calling of the spiritual initiate to the ‘other shore’ where ones own unique journey of spiritual connection occurs.
This T-shirt should be washed inside out on a cool cycle. Organic cotton should never see the inside of your tumble dryer, air drying is best! Never iron directly onto the hand screen printed graphics – iron the garment inside out or use a clean cloth as a barrier.
