A beautiful smudge stick bundle comprising of sage, Palo Santo, a Selenite crystal stick, as well as pale cream and light rose sinuata flowers and vibrant lavender. Designed and made with love to be used as a beautiful centre piece on your altar or to use in the ancient practise of smudging to cleanse and revitalise energies. Used by indigenous communities for centuries smudging is the practice that uses smoking herbs to purify and cleanse. Clinical research now supports the effectiveness of this practice revealing that smudging reduces airborne viruses and microbes. It was found that smudging reduces airborne bacterial counts by 94%, and the effect lasted for up to 24 hours in a closed space.

One of the most common herbs burnt in smudging is sage. Sage is one of the most powerful herbs known for its cleansing and purifying properties. Palo Santo, a sacred wood from South America, is known for its cleansing and healing properties. It has a wonderful fragrance and you can use it to is cleanse your energy as well as a space. It is said to enhance meditation, and invite positive energy. Selenite crystal, known for its cleansing and healing properties, purifies energy, enhances clarity, and promotes spiritual growth. It is ideal for meditation and clearing negative energy.

Smudging

There is a blog dedicated to smudging. However in short you start by setting your intention to cleanse using your smudge stick. I like to pause, breathe and set an intention before I start smudging. I like to include a prayer in which I ask the universe and my guardian angels to join me so that the process becomes a beautiful ritual. Light the smudge stick allowing it to burn for about 30-60 seconds before blowing out the flames. Waft the smoke around yourself, your home, work space and over possessions and objects to cleanse the energy. The rich smell will also bring peace and clarity as you cleanse.

When finished, place the stick in a fire proof bowl of metal, glass or clay and stub the end out gently. Do not leave the smudge stick unattended until you are certain the fire is out – I like to leave mine nearby in a fire proof dish so I can check it intermittently as they an smoulder. Always use caution and respect when working with fire

Your smudge stick bundle will be carefully packaged and posted in a cardboard box with an A6 smudging instruction card.
